proud parents

Dave and I are the proud new parents of 4................4 new baby bunnies. One of our miniture french lop rabbits had babbies yesterday - I'll keep you posted on our progress - here are 2 pictures of the proud mom - no pictures of the bunnies yet - still in the newborn not so cute state.

Paris - no not france

I have a little catching up to do - a short while back (maybe 2 months by now) - my mom, dad, Blake and I went shopping in Farview Heights. My dad called my cell phone, I thought he was ready to leave the mall - I could barely hear him with all of the comotion in the background. All I could really get was I should head to Macys if I could get through security. we'll - I have to check it out now - even though we were on the other side of the mall completely. Not that I am a huge Paris Hilton fan - but glad I made the trek..... yes it really is her.

No joke

So this morning Blakes soccer game was cancelled (I did not know this until we actually showed up for team pictures no one else was there - but it was obvious that the fields were too wet....I just hadnt gotten the call yet - anyway) - this extra 1 1/2 hours gave me time to do a few things outside - since it was a nice temperature and not raining (at the moment) - so Blake decided to help.....he pointed out to me that "I should not forget to clean the gutter down spouts out so when Grant decides to drink out of them they are a little cleaner" - great idea - but Im not sure his mom will ever let this happen again.....but nice thought on Blakes part.

change purse?

Todays quote from Blake…… “when confronted with change – bring your change-purse” not sure if that is something like when your dealt lemons make lemon-ade – but he said he had been thinking about it for a few days and just thought it made sense….so use it if you can. speaking of Blake - here he is hot and sweaty from a winning soccer game. He says goalie is his favorite position. His team has one a game....and lost a game...regardless Blake has had fun - and I have had fun watching him.

vinyl letters

Dave said that I could get a new piece of artwork for our bedroom. I think when he said that he was thinking we would maybe pick it out together and that maybe it would be a nice picture.....well that is not exactly how that worked. I had seen vinyl letters and words that you could essentially rub onto your wall.....and they look like they were painted on by hand. So I orderd them AND THEN MENTIONED TO DAVE THAT I HAD DONE THIS. For my sake I am hoping that they are just as easy to adhere to the wall as it appears. I am anxiously awaiting them and check the mailbox daily. Check back for updates.

So here we are

Its been awhile since I have blogged...I think I can get in a routine now....our computer is set up and all is well...I even remembered all of the passwords I needed to. I didn't know married life could be so good. Blake is in the second grade in a new school and really all seems to be going very well (knock on wood quickly)! Every night brings something new..... This weekend my family is going to move my grandmothers "treasures" from Greenview (small town outside of Springfield) to Effingham. Something I personally am very excited about. I talk to her several times a week but having her this much closer is great. It will be a big adjustment for a lot of people. I'll be sure to let you all know how that goes!

lists lists and more lists - I have a menu list for the wedding I have a grocery list for the wedding I have a list of things to do before the wedding - I have a list of things to do at the house and a list of things I need to do at work before I leave - don't get me wrong - I like lists but I almost need a list of my lists! THEN - not really related but I found this website - I kind of like the idea: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1812048,00.html - how to live with only 100 things - could you do it? HMMM - my sister pointed out that she "had to have" 11 things and she was not even dressed for the day yet.....I chuckled. Tonights plans include taking Blake to Mulberry Grove, going to Shawns ball game, unpack a few boxes and maybe a load of laundry -
